    • Walsingham disruption

      8th Sep 2026 - 5th Oct 2026

Due to the closure of High Street for Walsingham Estates wall repair works we're unable to serve the bus stops at The Bull/village pump in Walsingham.

During the closure period buses are diverting and therefore the nearest alternative bus stops are located at and opposite the Primary School in Walsingham.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    • Heacham disruption and diversions

      Today 05:59 - 20th Nov 2026

From Monday 14th September to Friday 20th November there will be disruption to all of our bus services in Heacham due to yet another lengthy closure of Lamsey Lane, this time for Anglian Water works.

We appreciate that these works will cause disruption and frustration to our customers, particularly as the road was only recently closed for the Norfolk County Council traffic light scheme. The following arrangements therefore reflect a carefully considered plan to try and accommodate Heacham customers as best as possible without causing significant delays for customers elsewhere on the network.

The key difference this time is that regrettably normal service 34 buses are unable to operate the one-way loop around Lodge Road and Folgate Road. This is because it’s not possible to accommodate this additional section of route without causing significant delays to buses in what will start to be the busier time of year.

For those that are less mobile and would have trouble walking to and from the temporary bus stops at Poplar Avenue we are operating an off-peak Monday to Friday shuttle bus which will operate the clockwise loop around Cheney Hill, Folgate Road and Lodge Road. This will provide a direct service to Hunstanton and also enable those from Folgate Road and Lodge Road to change bus at Fox & Hounds for buses to and from King’s Lynn. You can access the shuttle bus times by clicking the link at the top.

During the period of disruption changes to our regular bus services are therefore as follows:

Service 34 – Heacham Manor, St Marys Church, Tesco Express and Fox & Hounds all served as normal. Wait on the ‘normal’ side of the road at these locations according to your direction of travel. A one-way Clockwise loop is in operation along Poplar Avenue (southbound only), Staithe Road and Station Road for customers towards King’s Lynn AND Hunstanton.

Please note that the 0715hrs service 34 from King’s Lynn and the 1517hrs journey from Hunstanton on School Days only will serve the full loop of Cheney Hill and Lodge Road in addition to the above.

Service 35 – Ringstead Road (Norfolk Lavender), Nourse Drive, Tesco Express and Fox & Hounds served as normal. Wait on the normal side of the road at these locations according to your direction of travel. Buses will also operate a Clockwise loop serving Poplar Avenue (southbound only).

Coastliner 36 – Heacham Manor, St Marys Church, Tesco Express and Fox & Hounds all served as normal. Wait on the normal side of the road at these locations according to your direction of travel. Buses will also operate a Clockwise loop serving Poplar Avenue (southbound only).

Service 415 (Alderman Peel High School bus) – Heacham Manor, St Marys Church, Tesco Express and Fox & Hounds all served as normal. Then an anti-clockwise loop around Lodge Road, Folgate Road and Cheney Hill. Then exiting the village as per normal via Norfolk Lavendar.

Service 34, 35 and Coastliner 36 are NOT able to serve the following stops during the closure period. These will be served by the shuttle bus service 34 (and the school bus on route 34) only:

      • College Drive
      • Lodge Road
      • Fengate
      • Fenside

Collingwood Close bus stops cannot be served by any buses at all.

Please be mindful that even if you are not travelling to/from Heacham on our services that these construction works (which add to the journey time) may cause delay to your journey.

Please accept our apologies for any disruption caused.

      Today 10:31 - 18th Sep 2026

Please be advised that the closure of Lynn Lane in Great Massingham has been lifted as the roadworks have been completed earlier than planned.

The first 48 of the day (from Harpley) will now operate the normal route once again.

Thank you for your patience during the lengthy disruption period.

    • Great Massingham & Harpley disruption

      20th Jul 2026 - 16th Oct 2026

From Monday 20th July to Friday 16th October 2026 there will be disruption to our services 48 and 49A due to a number of road closures in Great Massingham for Norfolk County Council works. This will unfortunately cause disruption to our services as follows:

From Monday 20th to Friday 16th October 2026 (inclusive) – Lynn Lane (between Massingham and Grimston) will be closed.

As a result of this the first service 48 of the day will commence opposite Great Massingham Fire Station (at 0710hrs) and then head north to Harpley for 0714hrs (instead of commencing at Harpley and then travelling south to Great Massingham). Great Massingham Church cannot be served during this period.

In addition to the above closure, Station Road in Great Massingham will also be closed from Monday 20th July to Friday 31st July. Regrettably, this means that our buses on route 49A are unable to serve Great Massingham at all. These buses will therefore be on a diversion route which will serve Harpley as normal but then divert via the A148, Hillington and Grimston to re-join the normal route at Gayton.

To ensure that customers still have access to buses to/from King’s Lynn at key times Barrys Cars are providing a shuttle bus service from Great Massingham to Harpley (Rose & Crown) to connect with our 49A buses. The shuttle bus timetable is available at the link on this page.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused but disruption such as this is completely outside of our control.
