Service 48 disruption & diversions
- Affected routes:
-
48
On Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd July 2026 there will be off peak (between 0900 and 1600hrs) disruption and diversions to our 48 service due to the closure of the road between Grimston and Gayton for BT openreach works.
The regular service 48 will therefore only operate between King’s Lynn and Gayton (terminating at the Crown Public House in Gayton). This will operate to the normal times, i.e. leaving King’s Lynn at xx30 minutes past the hour.
So that customers from Grimston, Roydon and Pott Row still have access to buses we are providing a dedicated shuttle bus service between these locations and King’s Lynn (operating via Leziate Drove). Please click the link the view the timetable.
During the closure period there will be no service between Grimston and Gayton and additionally the stop at Lime Grove cannot be served. Please also note that the shuttle buses will pass the stop on Church Close/Vong Lane slightly earlier than normal.
Buses before 0900 and after 1600hrs are able to operate to the full normal route.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
