New website and app! 15/07/2025

We’re excited to announce that from Monday 4th August we’ll be launching our brand-new website and app. From this date you will be no longer be able to purchase tickets on the existing Lynx app and website, so any future purchases will need to be made on the new Lynx bus app. So, from 4th August:

  • Simply search “Lynx Bus” in the Play or App store
  • You’ll need to re-register on the new app
  • Once you’ve received and clicked the verification email, you’re all good to go!

The new app includes many of the existing great features we offer but they are improved and we’re also offering some new useful features which we think you’ll love too…

  • Disruption alerts – subscribe to your favourite routes and bus stops to get notified when there is disruption to your service.
  • Plan journeys using the new interactive journey planner which also shows the best value fares for your journey too.
  • Real time stop countdown – simply click the bus stop you’re waiting at and see how many minutes away your bus is (and track the bus in real time too!).
  • mTickets no longer need mobile data or WiFi to display – no signal or out of data, don’t worry your activated ticket will still display on your phone providing that you’ve had access to the internet in the last 24 hours.
  • & much, much more!

Our existing range of tickets, as well as some new ones will be available to purchase on this new platform. From the same date our great value student tickets will also go on sale, these are priced as follows for the next academic term/year:

  • 3term unlimited travel (excludes route 414/5) - £580
  • 3term unlimited travel + routes 414 & 415 - £780
  • 1 term unlimited travel (excludes route 414/5) - £200
  • 1 term unlimited travel + routes 414 & 415 - £275
  • 1 term Heacham to Hunstanton - £100
  • 1 term Townrider - £100
  • 1 term route 54A (King’s Lynn to St Clements High School) – £125

All tickets are mobile tickets (mTickets), you no longer need mobile data or WiFi to show your activated ticket when you board the bus, but you will need internet to activate the ticket. Simply open the ticket and scan the QR code on the ticket machine in the normal way. We’re also launching the following NEW tickets:

  • 1 month 414 & 415 - £80 (this ticket replaces the existing Direct Debit tickets which will no longer be available)
  • 54A weekly - £13 (this ticket was previously only available from the driver of the bus but it is now available as an mTicket too).

Please note that if you have purchased tickets on the old Lynx app or website these will continue to be available for use on our buses until Monday 7th October. After this date they will expire.
