From Monday 1st February until Friday 26th February 2021 our Service 34 buses will be subject to disruption and a diversion route due to the closure of the B1440 Lynn Road at Ingoldisthorpe for sewer works.
During the closure period we will unfortunately be unable to serve any bus stops in Ingoldisthorpe village and additionally the bus stops at Dersingham, Thaxters and Snettisham, Factory Shop cannot be served. All other stops on the route are unaffected.
Customers from Dersingham that would normally catch the bus at (or opposite) Thaxters will need to use the Pansey Drive bus stop on Station Road and customers from Snettisham that would normally board at (or opposite) the Factory Shop can use the temporary bus stops, which will be located at and opposite Stickland Avenue.
Customers from Ingoldisthorpe will be able to pre-book (24 hours in advance) a shuttle bus, operated by Barrys Cars, which will take them to Dersingham to continue their journey towards King’s Lynn or Hunstanton by bus. This facility will be available Mondays to Fridays only and can be booked by calling 01553 840084.
The morning journey on Smithdon High School bus 411 will commence at Ingoldisthorpe Pond at 0740hrs.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by the above but road closures such as this one are out of our control. Thank you for your understanding.
Due to the closure of schools/colleges, many places of work, most shops and the resultant significant reduction in people travelling with us by bus following the latest Government guidelines, from Sunday 10th January 2021 we are unfortunately having to make further changes to our bus services.
These changes are necessary to try and ensure that there is still some form of service for key workers and for those that do not have access to a car for shopping, picking up medication, etc.
Regrettably it’s not possible for us to continue providing services anywhere near as frequently as we have been. The revised timetables, which will operate until further notice, more closely match demand with supply and also help to try and ensure we are in a position to return to near normal timetables as soon as we’re able to.
A summary of our temporary timetables are as follows:
Service 34 – Service will still operate every 30 minutes between King’s Lynn and Hunstanton on Mondays to Saturdays. Hourly on Sundays.
Service 35 – No Service, customers should use service 34. Customers between South Wootton and King’s Lynn should use Go To Town route 3.
