There are a number of road closures planned and these will impact some of our services in the next few weeks.

Wells-next-the-Sea Carnival (Saturday 3rd August 2019)

The annual Wells-next-the-Sea carnival is taking place on Saturday 3rd August 2019 and this will impact some journeys on our Coastliner 36 buses.

Unfortunately the 1500hrs journey from Fakenham (1533hrs from Wells) and the 1330hrs from King's Lynn (1428hrs at Hunstanton and 1527hrs at Wells) are not able to serve any bus stops on The Quay or The Buttlands.

These two journeys will instead operate via A149, Two Furlong Hill, Burnt Street and Church Street.

All other journeys are unaffected by the road closures.

Heacham Carnival (Sunday 4th August 2019)

Heacham Carnival takes place on Sunday 4th August 2019 and this means that between 1315hrs and 1400hrs that we’re not able to serve any stops in Heacham village itself (other than those on the A149).

The following journeys are therefore unable to operate through Heacham.

• 1315hrs Service 35 from Hunstanton
• 1335hrs Service 36 from Hunstanton
• 1250hrs Service 34 from King’s Lynn
• 1310hrs Service 35 from King’s Lynn

Walsingham 'New Dawn' procession (Wednesday 7th August 2019)

The “New Dawn Procession” takes place on Wednesday 7th August 2019 between 1015 and 1145hrs therefore our Coastliner 36 is unable to serve the normal route at this time due to the associated road closures.

The following journeys will need to operate to the diversion via the B1105 "Dry Road" and Egmere

• 1027hrs Wells to Fakenham (0830hrs ex KL)
• 1127hrs Wells to Fakenham (0930hrs ex KL)
• 1000hrs Fakenham to King’s Lynn
• 1100hrs Fakenham to King’s Lynn

The diversion route means we cannot serve East Barsham, Houghton St Giles and the only stops we can serve in Walsingham are those at and opposite the Primary School.

Shouldham/Marham diversion (Friday 9th August 2019)

Due to BT works taking place on Friday 9th August we’re unable to serve the normal route on Service 39 between 0930 and 1530hrs. During the works we're unable to access Shouldham village at all (yet again!) and the bus will be operating a lengthy diversion via Stradsett Crossroads at the A1122. Please note that the bus will operate some of the loop around RAF Marham a few minutes later than normal.

Journeys outside of this time will be unaffected but the following journeys will need to operate the diversion route:

• 1045, 1245 and 1415hrs from Marham towards King’s Lynn
• 1010, 1210, 1340hrs from King’s Lynn to Marham

Once again please accept our apologies for the disruption caused by these events/roadworks.
